Astrea London was founded on a simple conviction: a diamond should be worn, not withheld. We design for the woman who reaches for her pieces daily — a line bracelet under a cuff, a solitaire that catches the light across a table. Every silhouette is drawn in London, resolved slowly, and released only when nothing further can be removed. Restraint is the house signature.

Craftsmanship

Set by hand,considered twice

Each commission passes through a small circle of setters, polishers and gemmologists, most of whom have spent decades at the bench. Claws are cut individually, galleries are pierced by hand, and every stone is seated under loupe before a piece is signed off. Nothing is rushed to a deadline; a piece leaves the atelier when the light moves through it correctly and not a moment before.

Our diamonds are grown in advanced reactors that recreate the conditions of the earth's mantle, then cut and certified to the same standards as any fine stone. They are chemically, optically and physically diamond — graded independently, traceable from seed to setting, and produced with a fraction of the land and water impact. The Founder

From a vineyardto the next chapterof the diamond

“I didn’t want to change what a diamond meant. I wanted to explore whether we could change the way we created one.”

Nathalie Morrison founded Astrea London in December 2023 after a career in finance and entrepreneurship — and a childhood spent among the vines of Saint-Émilion, where she learned that what you create today is never only for today.

Chapter I

Saint-Émilion

I grew up in Saint-Émilion, in the South of France, surrounded by vineyards, where passion for the terroir, respect for tradition, family and a deep sense of heritage shaped my earliest years. My father, one of my two greatest heroes, always taught me: “It is about quality, not quantity.” That belief has stayed with me throughout my life. I didn’t know it then, but those values would shape the way I build businesses, support the causes I believe in and look after my family. They also shaped my vision of luxury today — and are at the heart of Astrea London.

I learnt very early that what is truly precious comes from a combination of nature, knowledge, respect and time.

Chapter II

Finance, then founding

From Cambridge to Lazard, then founding and selling two wealth-management businesses, I learned that an industry shaped over generations can still be reimagined. Technology shifts, consumers shift, values shift — and occasionally they align at precisely the right moment.

We can embrace innovation without losing beauty, craftsmanship or emotion.

Chapter III

A question worth asking

I have always believed that whatever we do comes with responsibility. For many years, I have supported Sumbandila in South Africa, helping provide education to around 300 underprivileged children. “Education is power” are words I say to my four children every day. Conversations that began at the school gates made me question the impact of the diamonds we wear. Diamonds mark our most precious moments — love, marriage, family and memories — yet I became fascinated by the possibility of a different way. That is when I discovered lab-grown diamonds. “If a diamond represents our future, shouldn’t the way we create it reflect the future we want?” That question became Astrea.

Everything we do comes with a responsibility.

Chapter IV

The next chapter of the diamond

The answer was not a different meaning, but a different method. Lab-grown diamonds are diamonds in every scientific sense — identical in composition and crystal structure, distinguished only by origin. Astrea was born from this conviction, but it was my meeting with Sarah Jessica Parker, together with the belief and support of a group of high-profile investors, that helped turn that vision into reality. Together, we created Astrea to honour the extraordinary history of the diamond while imagining what comes next — revolutionising the industry with exceptional-quality pieces that, until now, could only have been imagined. The name takes its root from Astraea, the Greek Star Maiden — a symbol of purity, justice, light and hope.

At Astrea, we create pieces that once could only have been imagined to cherish the past while celebrating the future.

An obsession with the exceptional

“Technology can create an extraordinary diamond. But technology alone cannot create an extraordinary jewel. That requires something deeply human — imagination, proportion, design, precision, craftsmanship and emotion. Astrea exists where those two worlds meet.”

The house launched on D and E colour stones, then added exceptional light performance and Hearts & Arrows precision to its selection criteria — an ambition to work within approximately the top 0.01% of available diamonds, by Astrea’s own standards.
