Terms & Conditions
Last updated September 2026
The terms below accompany every piece that leaves the atelier: what you are buying, how it reaches you, and what we promise once it is yours.
01These terms
These terms govern your use of astrealondon.com and every order placed with Astrea London, a jewellery maison based in London, United Kingdom. By placing an order you accept them. Nothing here limits the statutory rights you hold as a consumer.
02Orders and prices
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we confirm it by email. Prices are shown in the currency of your selected market and include applicable taxes where indicated; duties and import taxes for destinations outside that market may be payable on delivery. Every piece is made in limited numbers, and we may decline or refund an order if a stone or setting is no longer available, if a price has been listed in error, or if we cannot complete our security checks.
Orders may be completed in GBP, EUR or USD. We accept Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards, and Apple Pay or Google Pay on a mobile device. VAT is applied where due and calculated on the shipping destination of your order. If VAT rates change between your order and our supply, we adjust the rate you pay unless you have already paid in full. If any amount due before dispatch remains unpaid, we store your jewellery securely free of charge for six months, then charge £50 per month to cover insurance and storage; if all charges remain unpaid after a year, and no further agreement has been reached, the jewellery and sums paid are forfeited.
03Delivery
We use professional, reputable carriers and every shipment is fully insured, so your order always travels risk-free. A signature is required on delivery, so please arrange to be available at the destination. For some shipments we may ask for an identification document matching the copy we hold on file, or require the delivery address to match the utility bill address you have given us. We can sometimes ship to an address other than your billing address, in which case you must personally receive and sign for the piece and show valid identification. Deliveries may arrive in separate shipments. Once delivery is accepted, the insurance and protection of the pieces become your responsibility. We are not responsible for delays outside our control.
When you order for delivery outside the United Kingdom you are the importer of record and must comply with the laws of the destination country. Title and risk pass to the recipient when the carrier collects the shipment from Astrea London, and any customs fees, import duties and taxes of the destination country are your responsibility.
04Cancellation and returns
If you are a consumer who bought online, you may change your mind. Requests for a refund must be made within 21 days of receipt, by writing to enquiries@astrealondon.com, and the piece must come back with everything it arrived with, including its original box and its diamond grading report. Returns are at your own cost unless we have offered free returns, and must travel by an established, adequately insured service. You cannot change your mind about bespoke or personalised pieces, pieces that have been altered, services already completed, or a diamond that has been set into a mount. We refund to your original payment method within fourteen days of receiving the piece back, charge no refund fee, and may reduce the refund if the piece is no longer as new. A missing diamond grading report carries a replacement charge of £500 or the local equivalent.
05Guarantee, certification and care
Every piece of Astrea London jewellery carries a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing faults or defects, and arrives with its laboratory grading report. The guarantee does not cover accidents, impacts, fair wear and tear, or damage caused by mishandling or lack of care, and it ends if the piece has been worked on or altered by anyone other than Astrea London. Where we confirm a fault, we repair or replace the piece after discussing it with you, and reimburse shipping and insurance costs agreed with us in advance. The guarantee may be used by the purchaser or by the person to whom the purchaser gave the piece. To use it, write to enquiries@astrealondon.com.
06Bespoke commissions
A bespoke enquiry is an invitation to a conversation, not a purchase. We discuss your commission by telephone or email and confirm the key details in writing before you order; we accept the order when we send the agreed invoice. Payment is taken in stages: normally a 20% deposit, fully refundable if you change your mind at that point; 30% once you approve the design and the diamonds, when work begins; and the remaining 50% before dispatch. If you cancel after approving the design and the diamonds, we retain the 20% deposit and return anything further you have paid. Where a bespoke piece has been made to an approved specification, alterations and repairs are carried out at cost; if we have not built it to the specification agreed, we cover that cost. Because our pieces are made by hand, sizes, weights and measurements shown may vary by up to 2%, and renderings and sketches are indicative.
07The site, our rights and applicable law
All designs, images, text and marks on this site belong to Astrea London and may not be reproduced commercially without our written consent. We present the site as it stands and, to the extent the law permits, are not liable for indirect losses; our liability for any order is limited to its value. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting the protection of your local consumer law.
